Colorado Business Hall of Fame

Earlier in the month Blue House Photography photographed the Colorado Business Hall of Fame 2010 induction ceremony. The inductees included the Gart Brothers (of Sniagrab and Gart Sports/Sports Authority fame), Henry Bosco (owner of the Glenwood Hot Springs), James Wallace, and Merle Chambers. Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain Inc. and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce ran the event and UMB Bank was a major sponsor. It was a black tie event of about 900 of the state's most important and powerful business people. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Don't I look good in a tux?

Mexico-- Part 4

I spent three nights in Bucerias, on the north rim of the Bay of Banderas. This town celebrates a Fiesta de la Virgen de la Paz (or Festival for the Virgin of the Peace) for ten days each January which happened to be as I was passing through. The festival has it's share of Mexican carnival food, rides and games but also provided the attendees with a nightly show. Here are some of the images from the two nights I attended.

Mexico-- Part 3

The week after a vacation is always hard. Especially when your vacation was in a place as beautiful as Mexico. I spent two weeks down in Mexico. The second week was with Delia and our friends in Sayulita. The first week I traveled alone to Chacala (Population 277), a small fishing village about 90 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta and Bucerias, on the north rim of the Bay of Banderas. Below is a shot of Chacala.

Puerto Vallarta, the major city in the Bay of Banderas, has a beachfront Malacon or walkway with many original sculptures and other types of artwork.

Mexico-- Part 2

So, back to the real world... Re-entry hasn't been too difficult, although I do miss the beach already. Thus far, this week has been really busy with the real estate photography. I guess I should be thankful for the work, although another week of vacation would be okay with me too.
Here are a few more photos from our trip. Enjoy!

This is one of my favorite shots from our boat trip. It's a reflection of the docks in the water. I love the calming feeling it gives and the fact that it almost looks more like a painting than a photo. Anyone know of a good market for abstract photography, let me know!

One of my favorite things about Mexico is the colors. Everything is so vibrant, from the architecture, to the flowers, to the people. Lots of eye candy for a photographer!

More to come soon!
