5395 Easley Rd: Golden

I want this house!
Blue House Photography photographs a lot of real estate/ architectural photography. I usually cover North Denver, pretty much from Brighton to Broomfield. (Not that there is really anything wrong with any of these areas, but it all kind of starts to look the same after a while.)
Lately though I've been going to Golden, which I love. I pulled up to this house last week and was prety excited to photograph it. It backs up to the mesa and was just really charming.
It's a bit (okay, a lot) out of my price range, but I thought I'd share a few photos.
Enjoy!

Lorisa & Aden's Wedding: 4/19/09

Blue House Photography photographed Lorisa and Aden's wedding yesterday. They had a small wedding with less than forty guests and the wedding was held at the maid of honor's house in Littleton, Colorado. The wedding start time was conveniently timed by photographic standards so we could take advantage of the nice evening light for the portraits. The back yard was nicely landscaped to provide a good background and we just went to town with the photos. A few favorites have been posted. I hope you enjoy. Contact Blue House Photography for all your wedding photographic neeeds.

Brea and Gus: The Mercury Cafe

Blue House Photography photographed our first wedding of the season on Saturday. Brea and Gus were so happy and madly in love it was hard not to smile just looking at them. The day was very intimate and relaxed. And this was despite the snow that rolled in Friday and changed the wedding ceremony plans from City Park to The Mercury Cafe at the last minute. Luke and I were initially a little concerned about the dark lighting in there, but we were able to find some great pockets of light and I think we made some great images. Hope you enjoy!

Photo of the Week: April 6, 2009

It's almost Spring in Denver, I swear. I took this shot today from a deck on one of the residential real estate properties I was photographing. It's not so bad a view. This is the a shot of the Colorado State Capitol, with the Denver City Building, the Pepsi Center and the Front Range of the Rockies behind. This is the first Photo of the Week that was actually photographed on or around the time it was nominated as the Photo of the Week. It has become part of a growing library of local Denver city and Colorado photographs. If anyone is in the market for photos of local landmarks or you're looking for stock photography of the mountains just let us know.

The Brown Palace

Another one of our favorite places for weddings in Denver is The Brown Palace.
We photographed Len and Jackie's wedding there back in 2007 and had a blast. There are so many cool places in the hotel.
It seems like you can't walk more than 10 steps to get to a different and beautiful spot to snap a few photos.
And, since you are centrally located downtown, there are some great locations within walking distance as well.
Enjoy!

Photo of the Week: April 1, 2009

We here at Blue House Photography do a wide range of photography including, you guessed it, architecture. This week I'm highlighting one of my architectural images. This was shot of one of the common rooms of a condo complex in Denver for Obeo virtual tours. Delia and I both shoot online virtual tours (still shots and 360 degree panoramas) for Obeo. Here is there link: www.obeo.com should any real estate agents come across this blog. Feel free to request Delia, or Luke for any virtual tour needs.
