We just got back from a trip to Sayulita, Mexico. It's a smallish town about 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta (and a world away from the high-rise resorts!) It's pretty convenient to get to and also not too hard to get of the beaten path. We had a group of 11 and rented an awesome house on the top of a hill overlooking the ocean. The roads were a little hairy at times, and I think we were all pretty glad we weren't driving our own cars. We had a great time exploring the town, various beaches, relaxing by the pool and even chartering a boat for the day. I got what I think are some pretty good images. Hope you enjoy the first installment!
--DPThis shot and the one below are from the main beach in Sayulita. Towards the beginning of the week we did have a day where a few of the group were pretty sick. (Montezuma's revenge?) So, some of us that were feeling fine went down to the beach to watch the sunset.
This one is from our boat trip . Our captain was little crazy, but in a good way. I guess what you would expect from someone who lives on a 30 foot boat and takes tourists out on daily trips. We spent the day on the open ocean whale watching, snorkeling and swimming. Not bad for a Thursday!
The one above that is some birds we saw in San Pancho. They just looked like they were having a good time flying around...
